Join Oasis Ensemble on a sound journey into fantastical worlds and through the imagination. Our featured award-winning composer, Meadow Bridgham, guides us through an imaginary video game — a delightful exploration of how music conveys virtual experience even without images. Get ready, get set, and “Press Play to Start!” Find yourself in a “Seaside Town, Lured in by a Siren’s Song, Pulled under Sea and Stars and Beat up by a Giant Squid!” When the game is over, you will want to play again!

Then bask in vivid colors, sunlight, breezes and lilting sounds evoked by the music of three French composers Philippe Gaubert, Lili Boulanger and Gabriel Fauré. These early 20^th-century works each create unique visions of the composers’ experience of the world, through imagery of nature and the seasons. Don’t be surprised if you hear the wind of a “Clear Spring Morning” or feel the chilly air of an “Autumn Evening!”
